Contrary to some of the opinions here, I found the acting to be really decent. The movie was interesting for about 20 minutes in, then it steadily started to crumble in terms of logic, character reactions and decisions. At some point the plot holes just became too vast to overlook. Some of them could have been avoided, others were due to the script.

I don't normally address this but here the audio mixing and editing was really off at times. The licensed music suddenly jumped way too much in volume, the score sometimes was too quiet and one actress lacked the proper set editing in re-recording and thus sounded completely detached from the scene.

All in all I see potential in Joseph Ramos and I can let this one slide as it's his first feature. For his next project I hope he reads the script more thoroughly and establishes a more independent approach to the material.

Advice for viewers: either avoid or look at the technical aspects, e.g. What could have been done better in terms of story, characters, editing and directing.

First- Very small spoiler below but it won't ruin the movie... the director and producer did enough on their own to ensure that....

2 stars only because the main actor and actress are young and can continue to work on acting if it's what they really want because there were some okay glimmers of light that could translate into better performances down the road.

A for effort from the actors/actresses. The youth in this movie have potential, but they need to hone their skills and get some more professional training.

The movie actually had a decent plot line to it but it deviates and sometimes they just went down the most random AF road and it looked AND sounded extremely unnatural and awkward.

The main characters are WAYYY too UNDERdeveloped, so let's not even get into the secondary characters...

I am sure that most of these actors are pretty much brand new to this industry, so I don't want to discourage any of the ones who may read this because while you may have work to do (WE ALL HAVE WORK TO DO ON OURSELVES AND OUR TALENT/PASSIONS) to better your performance I'm the future, this was most definitely an issue of under budgeting and lackadaisical leadership in the crew.

And don't even get me started on those "screams of horror"

Honestly, 81 minutes of my life, gone

The story that there are two different ppl that the uncle has known for a few years now, and could not notice when they switched places is unbelievable! Then, the boy is locked in a dog cage, and not even a dog cage that was nailed down to a concrete floor. The acting was muted by the bad story and horrible mistakes thought the whole movie.

The only ones rating this movie high are possibly cast and crew or, ppl who really just don't know what a good movie is. It was not even halfway good and I feel like I deserve a reward for even having to endure this so called film. I do NOT recommend this movie to anyone and I will be happy if I never see it again. To the director, please do not make any more films, and seek out other job opportunities.
