This was awful and really dissapointing. Megan Fox being hot did not even help this movie. Not sure why anyone would make a movie about the most useless mercenaries on a hunt for people in africa... There are som people eaten by lions and thats is fun, but it does not make up for boring story, poor performance, shaky camera etc. Stay away from this. If you manage to watch the whole thing you should get a diploma

Really bad movie about really bad mercenaries
Nothing New
Megan Fox leads a squad of mercenaries tasked with rescuing the daughter of the local governor from the rebels. When the mission goes sideways, they find themselves stranded, and caught between the rebels and lions.
Actually, lions, unless something is really wrong with them, avoid humans. The film makers don't let that interfere with this by-the-numbers effort, in which Miss Fox is swapped out for a more standard male action hero.
Not that it makes any difference. At first I thought this was going to be a take on the Anabasis, aka Plot #3, with perhaps some philosophizing on western efforts in Africa, but no such luck. I was surprised to discover this was actually shot in South Africa; the low lighting levels -- to indicate fear, of course -- make it look like it was shot on a sound stage.
As a B-movie, it works
A South African action thiller, directed by Michael Bassett who once handled the likes of WILDERNESS and SOLOMON KANE back in the day. I've always liked his work and this film is no exception, telling an action-packed story on a small scale that nonetheless has great pace and no slow spots at all. Sure, the casting - headed by Megan Fox - is nothing special but the action is well handled and even the CGI lion attacks don't disappoint. Hardly the kind of film to set the world on fire, but for a B-movie it works.
